Things to Consider
1) Think about the joy that is evident in the lives of everyone who is looking forward to the promised savior. Even John the Baptist in the womb jumps for joy. Do you still have the same joy you had when you first came to Christ?
2) Look at "Mary's Song" and "Zacharias' Song". Mary's song should be our praise of our savior and Lord. Zacharias lays out in vss. 76-79 what our job is as Christians. We are "to give to His people the knowledge of savation by the forgiveness of their sins" as we prepare for Jesus' return
3) Just as Zacharias was struck silent by the angel, something Natalie wishes would happen to me frequently, I pray that you will be silent as you come into this exploration. Forget all your presuppositions and just come to the Word open to receive a new word from the Holy Spirit.

ross looks wide but anyway... it astonishes me at how john jumps in the womb. poor elizabeth :-(
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Zacharias is in the Temple looking for an answer to prayer and when it comes, he questions it. Later, he praises God for the miracle of a son. I can relate.
