  1. hay Bryan its hoffman,
the parable of the lost son is one of the things that really stuck out to me and when the father rejoices in the sight of his son after he has plundered away all his land but he is forgiving and his other son gets mad but the father says to rejoice for your brother was dead and is alive again he was lost but now he is found

  2. That story is so amazing! Because just as the young boy followed his selfish pleasures and squandered all his father had given him, we have done the same thing to our Heavenly Father. Thank goodness for the grace we have in Christ Jesus. The good news that Christ brings life to the dead is something to always rejoice in!
But, I do know that we act just as selfish as the older brother did. The older brother didn't rejoice at all when the prodigal returned. He responded in hate for the fact that he wasn't receiving the same thing as his younger brother was. He had a heart issue. But the Father responded that what he has always had the older son has had access to it as well.
Just as this passage has challenged me I am excited to see that it has challenged you as well.
    Bryan
